This is one of my favorite songs, period. It’s got everything, a catchy hook, trap melodies, timeless bars. It was written in two parts with years in between. The chorus and first verse are from IFC-era Kane, while the second verse and climax were written and produced near the beginning of the IFCKane solo era.

It was originally written to a completely different beat, and with verses from IFC Toni and IFC Deecy. As the group split, Cinnamon could not rest without being fully realized. It demanded attention.

I can’t continue without shouting out Gabby who inspired the second verse and truly changed my outlook on life. Things really can get better!

Thick thighs don’t save lives, I’ma pray to god that it end ‘em
Knock knees, good family genes, baby, how’d you squeeze in that denim?
You a fiend, baby, do your thing baby, I’ll be cool to just watch

Cinnamon is a celebration of the best of the best, the world as it opens up to you at your most confident. And it doesn’t care how dark you think it is, that’s part of the charm. Cinnamon is proud of its own debauchery, and it has more than earned the right to flaunt it.

It’s so tasty—Cinnamon is the perfect amount of spice.
