I remember I put this on for students I had for this summer program, and this one kid was like “It’s not that good.” This was 4 years ago. I’m over it.

Inosuke is inspired by the anime Demon Slayer. The main character is a moral young man who believes in hard work and the innate goodness of others. The character in the show (who you can see deep fried as the album’s artwork) is a more rebellious and wild personality. His modus operandi is undeniable strength and unassailable freedom.

Inosuke’s spirit is what I wanted to capture on this song. I wrote it to match the light and bouncy instrumental, and I encourage people to stay courageous in the face of actors who want to make their lives more difficult. Breathe deeply and slay the demons, as the show encourages.
