koh
[This is my favorite chorus that I’ve written. The concept for the lyrics is manifold. Science said somewhere that in a relationship you start to look like your partner, and you definitely start to adopt each other’s mannerisms. So at a certain point, the connection between you is so deep, you’re like twins. ]
[At the same time, koh is a face-stealing spirit. So once my face is stolen, I’m surprised because you stole my face and that’s crazy. Getting your face stolen is something that would leave you at a loss for what to do and how to feel. ]
[AND I had to kill the person I was, on some real shit. My face was stolen. It worked out for the best, though; doesn’t even fit me anymore. Burning the deadwood left room for growth]
You stole my face
i’m surprised we look the same
ive been at a loss
ever since i learned your name
taking it to heart that part has died
but look at the brightest side
we learned so much through time and our mistakes
i watch it all replay like
slow slow slow motion
slow slow slow motion
honestly
i think i still need your company
jesus look at what you’ve done
look at what you’ve done
look at what you’ve done
look at what you’ve
done to me
[It was the worst. Why do I still care about you after this fiasco? Why won’t my feelings catch up with my mind? I want to leave you where you are]
everybody out there’s hunting me
now you got me on the run
look at what you’ve done
look at what you’ve done
look at what you’ve done
look at what
can we count the days we fond remember
inside the book that got the pages bond together
i i i need to sort the rage
and calmly settle
into a pattern that’s better
to follow me to forever
[I was angry that I was being made out as something I’m not. I was even angrier that I had no room to defend myself. It was a spiritual-ass experience to have to sit and hold my peace. You built different if you stay the same after that. It was time to hit the drawing board.]
You stole my face

ever since i learned your name
taking it to heart that part has died
but look at the brightest side
